10 Days until showday

Life is always changing, and throwing curve balls at you. It is up to you to be make the difference! If sometimes you are feeling less inspired actively seek out what inspires and motivates you.

This morning I pulled up some motivational quotes from the internet that helped me feel a bit better and more focused. Keeping a clear mind is always really important when working towards a goal that means a lot to  you.

My cardio has been increased for these final 2 weeks and the diet is intense so trying to stay awake, motivated and keep all other aspects of my life together has been a difficult task! But, one that I work hard at to achieve.

Every time a meal is over I head directly out of that kitchen! Usually, up here to my bedroom. To do lists are a must as of lately, so I don’t forget the things I have to do, and to make sure I accomplish the things I must do. I am updating my Ipod a lot lately, music always helps me get through the long cardio sessions. But, most of all I have found the biggest help is to surround myself with motivating people.  All my friends at the gym, my trainer, Courtnie and my family have all been such great support systems. It takes a while to find these people, that are truly there for you, but once you do, you will know!

Well just a short update for you guys today!

The rest of my day will consist of my workout, cardio, and then off to teach my girls at our bootcamp tonight! Can’t wait to see you guys!

Have a great day,

~Amanda

New Years Resolutions

It’s that time of year again and the gym’s are packed with those who have set there New Year’s resolution.

We have all over indulged this Holiday, stuffing our faces with stuffing and taking that extra desert that we may have otherwise normally been able to say no to. But now it’s time to dig out our new pair of running shoes that are sitting in the closet from last year’s New Year’s Resolutions and hit the gym….

No matter what your New Year’s Resolution may be this year, make sure that you Set SMART goals.

SMART Goals;

Sustainable

Manageable

Attainable

Realistic

Time (oriented/sensitive)

Learn2Sweat’s Fitness and Nutrition Programs are created with SMART Goal setting in mind! We help you Set SMART Goals and achieve them!!

New Year Resolution Tips:

  1. Don’t over do it. If you haven’t ran once last year, then don’t think that you can start off by running 7 days a week when you first start! (check out the less is more blog for more on this topic)
  2. Have fun, if you can find something that you enjoy to do then you are more likely to continue doing it
  3. Find a work out buddy to help you out of bed in the morning, or go late after work
  4. Being held accountable, if you will workout if you are being held responsible for you actions because you don;t want to have to explain to someone that you have not to work out once this week because you were to lazy. (learn2sweat has in person and on line training that holds you accountable for all of you actions.
  5. Staying motivated, you may need someone to motivated you! Try out one of our bootcamps for motivation. Learn2Sweat bootcamps are group oriented, where you get individualized attention and motivation in a group setting.
